Returning to PeaceOUT World Homohop Fest for a 7th year,

killer banshee spins live video art on multiple screens using an arsenal of visual imagery culled from original and found material to reinterpret and redefine what their art is about.

"We love performing as a part of PeaceOUT Homohop Fest  because it keeps our fingers on the pulse of real queer culture," says Eliot Daughtry, one half of Killer Banshee. "We get to see and participate in the best of the queer underground in our own backyard."

Calling a performance by Killer Banshee Studios video artists Kriss DeJong & Daughtry a VJ event fails to describe what you will see. Armed with laptops & video projectors, these two willfully make a dance out of their art. When not working behind the projectors, Kriss & Eliot  can be found doing audio for many different projects, recording hiphop and spoken word artists, or working on their own art.

Recent shows include a solo tour during the summer of 2007 that included stops in Chicago, New York & Richmond VA, multiple performances at CCA in San Francisco, illuminated corridor, performance during the RNC at CBGB's 313 Gallery in NYC, 'Opening Band' at LadyFest Bay Area, The PEOPs Show at Cartoon  Art Museum, Visuals at Oakland Mile High Club, and Kitchen Sink @ Oaklandish. The PEOPs Show Tour, a Killer Banshee Production, featured Kriss & Eliot performing live in the US & Canada with Fly. They've performed via remote video projection in projects with Res Rocket at Electromuse II in Seattle & at the New Music Festival Wembley Stadium, London.

Eliot K Daughtry has worked with video since 1988, when he made works for installation at ARC Gallery and Lower Links in Chicago. He worked professionally at the Center for New Television in Chicago for 4 years, documenting other artists with video and working with video as an art form. All the while, he worked on performances as well, composing scores, and performing regularly. Now big screen material comes flying out of his computer, reinterpreting his artworks in response to sound.

Kriss De Jong challenges anyone to get in the way of her and her computer. She mastered computer video for internet and DV production before most video artists knew what random access meant. With deep knowledge of technique, Kriss brings an organic mastery of beat and image to live video. As editor for Killer Banshee Studios, Kriss works magic on videos large & small, and has fine tuned work for short and feature length films from Steakhaus Productions, Lynn Breedlvoe, Sini Anderson and Fly.

They are currently working on multiple full length performance projects including Mobility, Politics of Fear, Emergency Gender System, & Pedestrian X.
